Dr Valentina Puntmann

Consultant Cardiologist, MD, PhD, FRCP

Dr Puntmann is a board-certified cardiologist and physician. She specialises in early recognition and treatment of heart conditions that may lead to heart failure. She is a worldwide renowned expert in inflammatory cardiomyopathies (COVID-19, viral myocarditis, cardio-oncology, cardio-HIV and cardio-lupus), as well as hypertrophic and hypertensive heart disease. She is passionate about dedicated interdisciplinary cardiac care of patients with chronic conditions, such as systemic lupus erythematosus or post-COVID syndromes.

Dr Puntmann lives and works between London and Frankfurt.

Cardiac Diagnostics

Dr Puntmann is an expert in non-invasive cardiac imaging. She holds accreditations in echocardiography (BSE, EACVI TTE), cardiac CT (SCCT level II) and cardiovascular magnetic resonance (EuroCMR and SCMR level III). She personally supervises the conduct of these investigations. Other investigations may include blood tests, ECG, exercise tolerance testing and lung function tests, as appropriate for the clinical question.
